We got a lot of books here
I just took four and half bags of books to the thrift store (along with a bunch of clothes, toys, dumbbells, old luggage and other stuff). Sadly, I still can’t get all of my fiction onto the (very tall) bookshelf in my bedroom without double-stacking the shelves. (I’d say our fiction, but the great majority of it’s mine.)
You say this like it isn’t a totally normal problem. (It is a normal problem, right? Everyone has more books than they know what to do with, RIGHT?)

Of course it’s normal… For people who really like books, anyway.
Two years ago we commissioned custom bookshelves. I have one wall in our third bedroom/office, my wife has the full long wall in the basement and one of the other shorter walls. Cost a pretty penny, but now most of our books are up and we can find them instead of searching through boxes.
